This is the shortest stop on the walk, the location of the former leper hospital, later Beccles's grammar school. Before moving on, we hear about Roos Hall, which is a private residence not far from here (in winter months, you can see it through the trees at the end of the road), where Nelson's mother lived. It is reputed to be one of the most haunted houses in England.
