The walk now returns back to the town centre. There is nothing of obvious historical interest on the way, so we take the opportunity to learn about Daniel of Beccles, who wrote the first ever book on good manners! Ann Frith, who has translated some of the poem, tell us more. We come to some traffic lights but have a funny story to tell about them, from Dougie Peck, who recalls when they were first installed and no one knew what they were.
